General Questions
Q: Where do you get your ideas?
A: We photograph the kind of things we’d hang on our walls at home, and do. Stuff to remind us of holidays or just a walk in the woods.

Q: Do you have a photograph of….? Can I commission a photograph?
A: If you would like to commision a portrait please use the Contact Form. Photographs are a moment in time, and to produce something to order can be near impossible. We can apply a number of interesting effects and filters such as water in the foreground and some crazy colour changes.

Equipment/Photography Questions
Q: What software do you use to edit & manipulate your images?
A: We’ve tried many different versions of Adobe Photoshop, but have settled with ACDsee 8.0 Professional. It is far more user friendly, or at least we think so – you’ve got to go with what you feel comfortable with.

Q: What camera/lens do you use?
A: Having started many years ago using Pentax 35mm cameras we dragged ourselves into the 21st century by buying a Pentax Optio555 with what was at the time a massive 5.1 mega pixel CCD (the device used to collect the image). We then moved to the Nikon D70 and are now both using Nikon D90’s (12.3 mega pixels) and various Nikkor DX & VR (Vibration Reduction) lenses.

Q: Are your photographs set-up or staged?
A: Definitely not. Still life has its place I’m sure, but it seems too contrive.
